Home made, keto friendly Quest bars made with VitaFiber

A very easy recipe for home made Quest style bars:

- 50g VitaFiber (liquid) or IMO powder (isomalto-oligosaccharide)
NB: If using the powder, you need to dissolve it in 4:1 ratio to water, i.e. 50g powder + 12g water
25g whey protein (your chosen flavour)
- anything that you want to add (crushed Oreo's, ground almonds, bits of chocolate etc.)

1. Heat VitaFiber (or IMO mixture) in a pan (or a bowl in a microwave) until it starts to bubble.
2. Add all ingredients and mix them together until they reach peanut butter like consistency.
3. Using a silicone mould or a baking paper shape it into a bar.
4. Put it in the freezer for 1-2 hours.
5. Enjoy!

Super easy oats - perfect porridge

For breakfast, this morning, I tried the new range of Tesco Easy Oats. The golden syrup flavour was nicely complemented by a handful of fresh raspberries. The consistency was spot on even though I used quite a bit of almond milk to make it. It turned out to be a perfect little snack to fuel my morning gym sesh. Tomorrow, it's time to try out the new apple and blueberry flavour! ‪#‎TriedItFree‬

Tesco Pea & Ham soup

Today, instead of preparing my lunch for work I decided to go for convenience and just put a tin of soup in my bag. This is one is of the pea & ham variety from Tesco. Although it did taste great, it was slightly let down by its consistency. It was simply too watery for me. Still quite a healthy choice as it packs 8g of fibre per portion. What's your convenient but still healthy lunch option? #TriedItFree #OneLittleChange
